Kitten Kong

     Once there was a city called Toad Stool Spot.  It was where all the tiniest frogs lived.  At the moment it was 7:00, and all of the frogs were getting up.  It was the special day where all the frogs gathered in the center of town to have the Summer Fair.  All the frogs quickly dressed and set off to the meeting spot.  When all the frogs had arrived, their Mayor Lilypad had to make a speech.  He said, "This year's sum..."  He was suddenly interrupted by a horrible, frightening "Meow!" that filled the air!  Frogs scattered in all directions!  But two brave frogs named Kick and Splash remained calm and still.  Kick and Splash were two gray African Dwarf frogs, and they were very kind.  Kick suddenly announced, "Splash and I will go into the dreaded Kitten Cave, where the meow came from, to see what the problem is!"  

"We will?" asked Splash shivering a little.

"Yes!" replied Kick. "So now we must get going."

     So Kick and Splash set off.  It took them 3 hours but they finally made it to the entrance to the dreaded Kitten Cave.  Kick ran inside with Splash on his tail.  When they got to the end of the cave they looked to both sides but couldn't find what made the Meowing sound.  Suddenly a huge cat jumped off a hidden ledge in the ceiling!  The beast was Kitten Kong!  Kick and Splash ran back to the city but Kitten Kong chased them all the way there.  

     Kitten Kong eventually stopped chasing the two poor frogs and instead started romping around the city.  She climbed the Frogpire State Building and used it as a scratching post.  She made the Leaning Tower of Frog Food lean even more by trying to sleep on it.  Last she pulled the Frogfull Tower out of the ground and rolled it around, destroying 15 houses.  Mayor Lilypad called for a town meeting.  When everybody got there the Mayor said, "We've got to get rid of this beast!"  

     "I've got an idea," said a little girl frog.  "We can use the giant robotic mouse from the museum and program it to go into the cave.  Then we can all jump on the roof of the entrance to the cave so it collapses and the cat can't get out!"

"That's a great idea," agreed the town.

     So once the mouse's programming was done, they gathered on the roof.  In 5 minutes the mouse raced into the cave with Kitten Kong right behind it.  

"1, 2, 3 jump!" said the little girl frog.

     They all jumped and the roof of the cave's entrance came crashing down.  Kitten Kong was trapped.  After that, Mayor Lilypad finished his speech and the Summer Fair continued.  Everyone was happy and the little girl frog got a lollipop.
