Garden Club

This piece features the thoughts of fine fifth-grade student, Z.W. Enjoy!

3,2,1....Grow!
By Z.W.

In garden club we learn how to grow plants that give us food, appreciate the exotic tastes of fruit that we helped grow, and even make drinks and food out of fruits and vegetables. We help make the garden a healthy and fun environment by trimming bamboo, raking leaves, and planting seeds. Everyone's ideas are always appreciated.

We also make things like teepees, fairy houses, bows and arrows. The bows and arrows are made of bamboo and string.

When we have all done our best and the garden is raked, tidy and new seeds have been planted, then we make a refreshing drink, like passion fruit soda, to reward us for our hard work.

Everyone is invited to join the fun on Wednesday afternoons right after school. COme ready to work and ready to have fun!
