Holiday Season
By H.H. and N.M. in second grade
Friends gather to skate on the frozen pond.
They glide like moonbeams on ice.
They swirl and twirl as if they were ballerinas on stage.
They get so rather restless that they rest on the white and fluffy snow, like clouds.
Snowflakes scatter in the winter air.
Soon it will be spring.
The snow will whirl away so we can slip and slide.
Goodbye snow!
